The Police

The Police was formed by the drummer Stewart Copeland in London around 1977. Initially the band was berformasi Stewart Copeland (drums), Sting (vocals / bass), and Henry Padovani (guitar). Soon after guitarist Andy Summers joined this group.

Henry Padovani limited ability to make he later resigned and guitarist position was taken over entirely by Andy.

The Police's first album, entitled OUTLANDOS D'Amour was released after the they managed to obtain a recording contract from A & M Records. During active from 1977 until around 1984 this group has produced 5 albums: OUTLANDOS D'Amour, REGGATTA DE Blanc, ZENYATTA MONDATTA, GHOST IN THE MACHINE, and Synchronicity.

Officially, the band never broke up but its personnel are then further concentrate on their solo careers and never again produce the album. During its active, Sting, who had been a teacher of English proved a brilliant songwriter. The lyrics of Sting's songs are considered to have high literary value.

In early 2007 yesterday, The Police had conducted a series of their reunion tour which also commemorates 30 years of the founding of this legendary group.
