Mr. Big is a rock band from the United States that was formed in 1988.
Mr. Big is a hard rock group formed in 1988. This band is a quartet consisting of Eric Martin (vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), and Pat Torpey (drums); Mr. Big also included Richie Kotzen, a reputation-based blues guitarist who replaced Gilbert in 1999. Formation (1988-1989)
After the bass player Billy Sheehan left David Lee Roth in 1988, he began piecing together a new band with the help of Mike Varney from Shrapnel Records, a label specialized in the shredding genre. He recruited Eric Martin, singer of rock-oriented solo and rests on the soul, and soon added guitarist and drummer Gilbert Torpey. Gilbert has become a highly respected guitarist who has released two albums to his Los Angeles-based band Racer X. Torpey came to California from Arizona, and toured with several high-profile artists, especially Robert Plant.
Breakthrough (1989-1997)
The newly formed band hired Herbie Herbert, former manager of Journey, Europe, and Santana, to become their manager. In 1989, they signed with Atlantic Records and released their self-titled debut the same year. The record does not get a rock band mainstream audiences in the United States, but success in Japan. In June 1990, the group toured the United States to open a Rush.

Get Over It 'was released in the United States in March 2000, followed by a brief club duty work at the "Roxy", California.

Reunion (2009)
