Iron Maiden was first formed in London in 1976 by Steve Harris (Bass), who later joined Tony Parsons (guitar), Doug Sampson (drums) and Paul Di'Anno (vocals).
Before obtaining a contract with record companies, they appear from stage to stage in London and earn revenue from each performance. Parsons was later replaced by Dennis Stratton, they released their debut album which took the title as their band name 'Iron Maiden' in 1980. Together with Blaze Bayley, substitute Dickinson, Iron Maiden released the album 'The X Factor' in 1995. But unfortunately this album was not as successful as its predecessor albums. At the end of 1996 they released a double compilation album 'Best of The Beast'. In 1999 Dickinson and Smith re-joined the band, and they began to produce records which were then given the title of 'Brave New World'.
In 2000 they held a series of tours that are documented into a live album 'Rock in Rio', they also released the album 'Edward The Great' in 2002 followed by the album 'Dance of Death' in 2003.
Then they released a DVD DVDs History of Iron Maiden, Pt 1: The Early Days and Raising Hell 'in 2004. Their next albums namely 'Death on The Road' (2005) and 'Matter of Life and Death' (2006).
